President Obama Is Coming to Town

You know what that means ... traffic detours. Find out where.

President Obama will be visiting Los Angeles Wednesday and Thursday to attend several fundraisers.

Meanwhile, the rest of us have to put up with the detours and street closures. Here's the rundown from the Beverly Hills Police Department

Beverly Hills and surrounding areas of Los Angeles 

To assist the public in avoiding possible traffic congestion during the visit of the President of the United States, May 7 and 8, the following areas of the city should be avoided when possible to prevent travel delays for community members: 

Wednesday May 7, 2014 

  • The area around Motor Avenue and Pico Boulevard from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. 
  • The area around Pico Boulevard and Beverly Glenn Road from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. 
  • The area around Santa Monica Boulevard and Beverly Glenn from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. 
  • The area around Sunset Boulevard and Beverly Glenn from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. 
  • The area around Santa Monica Bloulevard and Avenue of the Stars from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. 

Thursday May 8, 2014 

  • The area around Santa Monica Boulevard and Avenue of the Stars from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. 

NOTE: All trucks will be restricted from travel along Wilshire Boulevard between Santa Monica and Avenue of the Stars during the above time period. 

  • The area around Pico Boulevard and Motor Avenue from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
