There were no tickets sold with all six numbers in Friday's drawing of the multi-state Mega Millions lottery and the estimated jackpot for Tuesday's drawing will grow to $69 million.
tickets were sold with five numbers, but missing the Mega number --
three in Ohio and one each in the District of Columbia and New York, the
Multi-State Lottery Association, which conducts the game,
announced. Each of them are worth $250,000.
The numbers drawn on Friday were 1, 9, 17, 20, 53 and the Mega number was 14. The estimated jackpot was $60 million.
The drawing was the eighth since the last time a ticket with all six numbers was sold.
odds of matching all five numbers and the Mega number is 1 in
175,711,536, according to the Mega Millions website. The overall chance
of winning a prize is 1 in 40.
The Mega Millions game is played in 42 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
