Marilyn Monroe's Plastic Surgery Files Sell for $25,600

Medical files, including x-rays, of the actress and sex symbol sold at Julien's Auctions in Beverly Hills.

Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe did in fact have plastic surgery on her chin and nose, and one buyer has the proof after a $25,600 sale at Julien's Auctions in Beverly Hills, reports The Daily Beast.

In the 1950s when reports of plastic surgery surfaced about the young actress, it astonished the public since her looks were so natural. Her procedures remained shrouded in mystery for years.

The medical file contains several x-rays of Monroe's face, with the last entry dated June 7, 1962 after she fell, showing swelling and tenderness in the nose.
