Food Crafting Classes on the Menu at Greystone Mansion

A class for Reuben lovers is scheduled for next month.

If you're looking for a way to hone your culinary skills without leaving the neighborhood, visit Greystone Mansion for a series of cooking classes.

On the menu this fall is a class for Reuben lovers.

This class, which is sponsored by the Beverly Hills Farmers' Market along with the Institute of Domestic Technology, will focus on the art of making a classic Reuben sandwich.

Those who sign up will be taught how to make every ingredient from scratch, including the Thousand Island dressing.

The ingredients will be provided, and the class will be taught by the owner and chef of Cast Iron Gourmet, Rashida Purifoy.

The "Extreme D.I.Y. Reuben Sandwich" class will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 8, at Greystone Mansion located at 905 Loma Vista Drive. The cost is $195 per person.
