Enter a Drawing to Ride on the Beverly Hills Centennial Float

The deadline to submit your name is Monday, Dec. 2. It is only open to Beverly Hills residents.

As part of the Beverly Hills' Centennial Celebration, the city will be entering a float in the 2014 Tournament of Roses Parade.

Mayor John Mirisch will be among the riders and seven other residents will be randomly chosen from a drawing. The deadline is Monday, Dec. 2 to submit your name.

The drawing is only open to Beverly Hills residents. An entry form is available on the website at www.beverlyhills.org/floatrider.

Here are the rules for the selection process:

  • One entry form per person. There are a total of seven seats available on the float.
  • Riders must be a current resident of Beverly Hills - will need verification of Beverly Hills residency.
  • Riders must be physically available to attend Judging Day on Tuesday,Dec. 31, 2013 5 a.m. and Parade Day on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, from 4 a.m. to 2 p.m. Hours of availability for Judging Day and Parade Day may change based on the Tournament of Roses requirements. Specific directions will be provided to the winner.
  • Riders must be at least 12 years of age; anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult guardian.
  • If the individual is disabled, he/she must be accompanied by a designated float rider who will be responsible for assisting the disabled individual get on and off the float within 45 seconds.
  • A specific dress code may be enforced depending on the 2014 Tournament of Roses theme.
  • Last day to enter the drawing will be on Monday,Dec. 2. Winners will be selected at the City Council meeting on Thursday,Dec. 5.
