Those in grades six through eight are invited to a city-sponsored excursion Jan. 25. Limited spots available.

The Beverly Hills Unified School District is off Friday, Jan. 25, so the city is offering those in the sixth through eighth grades a chance to visit the California Science Center and the Endeavour space shuttle.

The day includes admission, transportation and supervision. Participants must bring money or a sack lunch to cover their mid-day meal.

Along with the science center, teens will attend an Imax screening of Blue Planet.
