Bites Nearby: Brighton Coffee Shop

This casual restaurant offers value, great food and small town charm.

Dining out in Beverly Hills doesn't have to break your wallet. There are plenty of places in town where you can feed yourself for less than 10 bucks. You just need to know where to look.

Brighton Coffee Shop: A Beverly Hills landmark since 1930, is a family-owned business with a diverse menu that includes chicken salad sandwiches, veggies and tofu, and a variety of breakfast options such as French toast and a breakfast burrito—all costing less than $10.

Tucked away on the corner of North Camden Drive and Brighton Way, the restaurant is also known for its selection of baked potatoes with various fillings such as avocado and Swiss cheese or mixed vegetables and salsa. (The homemade salsa is amazing!) You can get in and out of Brighton on a weekday within a half hour. There is indoor and outdoor seating to choose from.

Celebrities who ate at the Brighton in years past include Audrey Hepburn, when she was living in Beverly Hills, and Doris Day, who would often walk to the eatery in her bathrobe and oversized sunglasses to order some banana pancakes. More recently, Jessica Alba and Eva Longoria have been spotted dining al fresco at Brighton after a workout at the nearby on Wilshire.
