Beverly Hills Holiday Ice Rink Opens Saturday

The public rink features real ice and inexpensive skate rentals.

City Council cut the ribbon Wednesday for Beverly Hills' first full-scale holiday ice skating rink, located along North Crescent Drive next to City Hall. Skaters will be allowed to take to the ice starting Saturday, Dec. 1.

The public rink uses real ice. Sessions include skate rentals and cost $15 for adults, and $11 for children 12 and under. The rink is open Dec. 1 through Jan. 6, except on Christmas Day.

Session times are:

  • Sunday through Thursday: Sessions begin at noon, 1:30 p.m., 3 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. All sessions are one hour except the final slot, which is one and a half hours.
  • Friday and Saturday: Sessions begin at noon, 1:30 p.m., 3 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 6 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. All sessions are one hour.

Parking is available at 450 N. Crescent Drive, which will be accessible from North Santa Monica Boulevard only. The day rates for the city-owned lot are $1 per hour for the first two hours and $3 per hour thereafter, with a max rate of $22. There is a $5 flat rate for parking after 6 p.m. Two hours of free parking is available for ice rink patrons with validation.

The rink was originally slated to start operations on Nov. 18, but a location switch from Beverly Gardens Park to outside City Hall delayed the opening.
