Luxe Rodeo Drive Hotel Partners with Guittard Chocolate Company to Create Centerpiece for Beverly Hills Centennial Block Party on Rodeo Drive

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (January 28, 2014) — The Luxe Rodeo Drive Hotel announced today a partnership with Guittard Chocolate Company’s corporate executive pastry chef, Donald Wressell, to present the City of Beverly Hills and thousands of visitors with a larger-than-life birthday cake as the centerpiece of the City of Beverly Hills’ Centennial Block Party on Rodeo Drive, set to take place on April 27.

The Luxe Hotels/Guittard cake, will stand at a staggering 10-feet high, 15-feet wide, 20-feet long, and will weigh approximately 4,000 pounds, depicting the iconic Beverly Hills City Hall tower and the world-renown Rodeo Drive. Wressell plans to bake a kosher chocolate cake, which is anticipated to serve approximately 15,000 slices to community members and Rodeo Drive visitors who attend the Block Party on Sunday, April 27.

The Luxe Rodeo Drive Hotel, winner of the Beverly Hills 2013 Golden Palm for community service, renews its commitment to the city’s community by orchestrating and sponsoring the Beverly Hills birthday cake.

The Beverly Hills Centennial Block Party on Rodeo Drive will take place Sunday, April 27 from 3:30 to 7:30 pm.  The event will span the 200, 300, and 400 blocks of Rodeo Drive and will include carnival games and rides, entertainment and a grand finale to conclude the evening.
