The estate where is located was a gift from oil tycoon Edward L. Doheny to his son. Construction on the Tudor-style mansion with English gardens was completed in 1928. Beverly Hills purchased the estate in 1965 for $1,100,000. It is now a site for movies, commercials, T.V. shows, photo shoots, weddings, receptions and educational tours.
The park is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific Standard Time and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Daylight Savings Time. There is no admission for entrance or parking to the park grounds. Greystone Mansion is open only for special events.
