Southbound Getty On-Ramp to Close Over Weekend

Crews will be placing k-rail from Friday night through Monday morning.

The Getty on-ramp to the southbound 405 Freeway will be closed over the weekend while crews perform work necessary for the realignment of the ramp, according to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.

The ramp will close at 7 p.m. Friday and will re-open Monday at 6 a.m.

According to Metro, crews will be placing k-rail, which are temporary concrete barriers.

Traffic will be detoured to the next available ramp during the weekend and one southbound lane will be open after the k-rail is placed.

Metro officials say once the weekend closure is complete, eight months of construction will continue to realign the ramp. During that time, the right turn lane on Sepulveda Boulevard to the southbound Getty on-ramp will be removed.
