“It’s well known that the shopping experience on Rodeo Drive is world class,” Mayor Barry Brucker said in a statement. “I am delighted that U.S. News points out how exciting and entertaining it is to shop, dine or simply stroll around a vibrant urban village, rather than the typical mall.”

The stretch of shopping paradise was also the location of the city’s “Let it Sparkle” , which featured a display of crystals and an electronic ticker tape that let people share social media messages with the community.
