Police Arrest Two Possible Burglars After Lockdown

Police dogs bite one of the suspects during the search near Roxbury Drive and Elevado Avenue early Thursday afternoon, according to a Beverly Hills police spokesman.

Beverly Hills police arrested two people they believe are involved in a home burglary Thursday, according to Lt. Lincoln Hoshino of the Beverly Hills Police Department.

The hunt closed off streets around Roxbury Drive and Alevado Avenue for almost three hours Thursday, said Hoshino.

One man was bitten by a dog during the search, Hoshino told Patch, confirming an earlier City News Service report that also put paramedics on the scene.

"The suspects were given multiple warnings that dogs were going to be used during the search, said Hoshino, including an announcement from a helicopter.

"They ran from the police and one was bitten."

According to an alert from the BHPD, the suspects were taken in just before 1:50 p.m. in the backyard of a home in the 600 block of Camden Drive in Beverly Hills

According to the alert, a witness identified the men as possible suspects.

CNS says the search for a third suspect continued briefly before streets reopened.
